Advantages of laptops
v  You are able to take it anywhere.
v  Can do work on the go.
v  Laptops are a light weight to carry around.
Disadvantages of laptops
v  Has a short power supply.
v  Battery can burn out.
v  There is a mouse pad instead of a mouse.
Threats of laptops
v  A drink could spill and damage your keyboard.
v  They are built to not have a password so anyone can use it.

Advantages of banking online
v  You can spend you money that is in that bank.
v  You don’t have to go to an ATM machine.
v  You can check your money from a computer.
Disadvantages of banking online
v  Someone may hack into your account and take your money.
v  Some people lose their money without knowing.
v  By the time they check the bank or get a bill, huge loses may have been incurred.
Threats of  banking online
v  Could be a false company
v  Could have bought some thing from you account that you didn’t buy.

Advantages of Online shopping
·         You can shop from home/office/school/anywhere when you have Internet   connection.
·          The shops available is worldwide and open 24hour
·          Can order delivery from online shopping.

The Disadvantages of online shopping
·         The inabilities to physically check out the items you are purchasing.
·         Losing the power to negotiate the price and payment terms that may exist in local stores.
·         Items ordered online are sometimes on backorder but the consumer is not always informed until weeks after the purchase is made
Threats of online shopping
·        May not be the same price when perched.
·        May not come or not be there on the date given.
·        May by a fake account to get your account details.

E-Mail

Advantages of Email
  • Easy to use: E-mail frees us from the tedious task of managing data of daily use. It helps us to manage our contacts, send mails quickly, maintain our mail history, store the required information, etc.
  • Speed: The e-mail is delivered instantly, anywhere across the globe. No other service matches the e-mail in terms of speed.
  • Informal and conversational: The language used in e-mails is generally simple and makes the communication informal. Sending and receiving e-mails takes less time, so it can be used as a tool for interaction.
  • Use of graphics: Colourful greeting cards and interesting pictures can be sent through e-mails.
  • Advertising tool: E-mail can be used for companies that are advertising their products, services, etc.
Disadvantages of Email
  • Viruses: These are computer programs having the potential to harm a computer system. These programs copy themselves and further infect the computer.
  • Hacking: The act of breaking into computer security is termed as hacking. After the e-mail is sent and before it is received by the person, it bounces between servers located in different parts of e-mail accounts.
  • Long mails: If the mail is too long in may send as more than one e-mail.
  • Full inbox: Over a period of time, the e-mail inbox may get full with e-mails and it becomes difficult for the user to manage so that amount of e-mails.
Threats of Email
·         Breaks: If the computer breaks the person will lose commutation to some in the outside world.
·         Viruses: If the computer gets a viruses and is sent to another computer by email it will cause damage to that computer and the viruses will spread in that computer.
·         Computer security: To prevent a person from hacking into your computer and looking at your personal things that you have on the computer.
